Vision Screening
Lions Clubs play an important part in eye health promotion in their communities. Benton Bay Athletic Lions take a lead role in coordinating the vision screening program in the Anchorage area. Anchorage Area Lions work together to offer vision services through the Anchorage Area Lions Joint Sight Committee.
During the 2018-2019 year, Lions screened 14,000 Anchorage grade school children.
Lions participated in heath fairs, standdowns and other events offering vision screening to adults and providing free readers to those in need.
